Founded in 1871, the Danish Women’s Society is Denmark’s first women’s rights organisation, fighting for a more equal and just society. It has more than 150 years of history, but its eyes are firmly on what’s next – and it needed an identity and tools built for just that.

With deep roots in the fight for equality, the organisation needed a new identity that showed where it was heading and spoke to the challenges of today.

We kicked things off with research and interviews, then ran a brand workshop to find a positioning the organisation could truly own. One insight stood out: activism has changed. Today, it spans everything from small everyday actions to deep engagement in issues like violence and stalking. So the brand identity we developed had to be flexible enough to work across many causes, situations and people, while staying true to the organisation’s ambitions for the future.

We continue to work with the organisation, exploring new ventures. One of them is Kalder alle unge (Calling all young people), a youth movement created to reach younger generations and get them involved, opening up the conversation about equality to go well beyond classic women’s issues. People today need tools they can simply pick up and use, so through workshops, we helped shape the idea, write funding applications and get the initiative off the ground, starting with a plug-and-play toolkit of analogue and digital resources to help people find their voice and make a difference.
